Thursday morning I went to Epistemology and spoke to the professor about my evaluation. As it turns out, he doesn't really care what I do. I'll just go and do some random research that interests me and then I'll meet with him in December and tell him about what I learned.
Sounds chill to me.
The one weird thing about the University of Bordeaux (besides everything else) is that it doesn't seem like professors have offices. As I waited for M. Cormier after class, I assumed that we would walk to his office. We just walked outside and stood in the sun to talk about my evaluation. It was odd.
Thursdays are long days because I have class 8:30-10:30, 1:30-3:30, 3:30-5:30, and 6:30-8:00. It does not leave a lot of time to schedule meals. So I brought some couscous in a tupperware with me from my apartment at 1:30 to eat before French class. (somehow I've already managed to eat all of the food in my apartment so this was really all that was left and portable).
But then after Visual Anthropology, I walked with Ana to Brioche Doree and then to her apartment and then we took the tram down to Talence and it took a lot longer than I had planned, but the professor was obviously late, so I got all my food eaten anyways.
Ana's apartment is kinda silly because she lives like in the attic and you have to literally crawl on your knees to get into her room.
I realize now that I just skipped forward through the entire day, and that's okay because I didn't really do anything else except go to class and wash dishes and eat a sandwich.
Last night (which is still Thursday) I went to Saint Michel with the Germans to dance in the street like whenever we did that a couple months ago. However, it was actually pretty lame because it was dj'ed by people who like rap music, and if I'm going to be outside when it's cold, I want some real music thankyouverymuch. But I stayed there for probably an hour or two and then I went home.
I think tonight we are going to try it out again.
