Further target the girl, or take a picture of someone else's notes?? The dilemma.

So I have absolutely no memory of having done anything of interest on Sunday or Monday (though I do remember going to the market on Sunday morning), thus we are just going to skip over those days and into Tuesday.

Tuesday mornings I have Cognition, which is the master's class and it's the worst thing ever.  I facetimed Kammie on Monday night (so I guess I remember that too...) and she said that I need to talk to people.

When I walked into the classroom I realized that one of the biggest reasons that I hate this class so much is that no one ever sits by me.  It's me and like four empty seats at the table, because I have no friends.

I decided to change it up and sit on the other side of the room that has tables with only two chairs each, so that way if no one sat next to me I could be like, oh yeah, they must have found an empty seat in the back, or if they DID sit next to me that means they don't have any friends either and would be a great target.

This was the most effective plan that has ever been planned.  Another international student sat by me.  I don't know what her name is or where she's from, but I do know that she's not francophone because we kept comparing notes during the lecture when we missed words.  This is super helpful.  Especially when I miss words that are someone's name.

When class finished, I was faced with the dilemma of either further targetting this girl, or asking the two French people behind me if I could take a picture of their notes (props for this plan go to Helen and Kammie).  They were really willing to share their notes with me and apologized for the handwriting.  I don't care if the handwriting is bad, and honestly I don't even think I need to have the notes for this class since I think I'm doing a research paper...?  Haha wouldn't that be a good thing to know.

I then went home and ate some food.

At 15h45 I went to Varietes of Francais where I sat by Lea (I don't know if that's how you spell her name).  This class is super awesome.  Every week the professor chooses a subject and then we learn all the words that relate to the subject.  So this week was "men and women" and we learned nice words, and neutral words, and negative words to call men and women.  Then we learned about how to say it like you're either slumming or being an aristocrat because I clearly need these words.

The evaluation for this course is to come up with 10 expressions that use body parts in your own language and then write specific notes about each of them.  Like a fool, I was confused about when this was due.  I thought it was at the end of the semester, but then I was having doubts, so I just took an hour or so before class and did the assignment.  So that's one evaluation done and five to go.

Then I bought a sandwich and ate half of it while waiting for the next French class.  These classes down at Talence are kind of a joke.  On Tuesday evenings all we do is learn expressions, and Thursday is supposed to be "grammar" but really we just talk to each other about specific things and the professor-man walks around.

Anyways, I was at French class just chillin and talking to the Brits.  We have to memorize all of the expressions for our quiz in like three weeks.  I'm going to get on that after I buy some index cards today.  I remember deciding with Madison not to bring my index cards.  They definitely would not have been worth their weight.

After class I left with Julian to go to the tram, but then he was actually going to Pessac and I was going to Victoire, so there was no point to walk there with him and I just ended up waiting by myself until the Brits came over.  They invited me to watch the second Pitch Perfect with them and that they're having some kind of group dynamic thing happening that meant they couldn't invite me while they were back with the people they were originally with.  Sounds like stress to me.  But I went with them.  We went to the store and then to the park and then to Dominoes (though I did eat the other half of my sandwich eventually) and then to Helen's where she had been making dinner with Sebastien (I don't know if it's an "e" or an "a" where he's from....which is maybe... Paraguay?  Idk)

We watched Pitch Perfect but I left before the movie was over because I had to take the tram back and it freaks me out to wait for the very last tram.  Honestly, from Peixotto it's maybe only five or so tram stops to Bergonie and then an eleven minute walk to my apartment, so I probably would have been okay.

At night though, I like to get off the tram at Victoire even though it takes maybe 5 minutes longer to walk down Cours de la Somme than the back way from Argonne.  Cours de la Somme is lit up all the way to my street so it just feels a little less creepy.  The square was super busy because there's this bull-fighting thing going on up until last night.  You had to get tickets, which I was unaware of, so I did not attend the bull thing.

[I talked to Ludovica last night and her and her friends left the bull thing because it was too frightening and I'm definitely with her now that I watched this video...]
